What alot of people over-look is the fact that PC's can get viruses.
It isn't definite that they will, but it is definitely a chance I'm willing to take for all of the extra crap I can do.

I think you'd do better on a PC. Macs are not usually worth the extra cost unless you're working heavily with media creation and such; If you're just using it for general things and doodles, it would be a huge waste of money.

I use a MBP, but if my school didn't demand as much digital work and Mac-optimized programs and equipment, I would've gone for a cheaper, reasonable PC.

I'll probably go PC then. But, @kaz, what would "heavily media creation" include? Because I don't just doodle, I do some pretty big projects or was about too at least, until my pen broke.

Just took a look at the MBP. THAT'S SO PRETTY. I WANT ONE. LOL.
Maybe in the future, I'll get a mac once my art is in dire need for one. I guess now... I can settle with my photoshop. Since those things are so freaking expensive. < _ <;;

Heavy media creation as in large music/3-d/film/CG projects. If what you're usually doing is lagging and freezing your computer even when you only have the programs you're working in running, then you should switch.

If you're only using Photoshop, you should do fine with whatever.

Oh, and if you want to keep playing mmos, you definitely want a PC.

a mac may cost more, but having the ability to use the mac os AND windows on the same machine allows you more versatility. especially when tests have shown that a mac can run windows better than a pc.
