u do know wat the GC were supposed to be used for right they were ment to be gifts other chars could give there friends or dates |
I know full well what GC were TO BE USED FOR. Initially, they were to be used to give as gifts to others so they can get those fancy equips and stuff.
and now they're being used as currency in place of zeny. thus, a problem has arisen. it has created a situation where those who have, you know.. actual money... are the players who have the ability to buy and sell items for real money. this creates a rift between players who buy and sell with the official currency, and those who prefer GC as tender. This, in my opinion, is an unfortunate tactic,
I question how much zeny has actually been converted to credits for the sole purpose of GCs.
therefore. the rule of "no selling of items for money" comes under scrutiny. _________________

No matter what happens, we will always have the players abusing the system to a degree.
For example, voting and the lottery. _________________ Characters-

voting doesn't exactly harm the system, as the server benefits. the lottery was easily fixed, as no one wins anymore. _________________

There are a few reasons why created God Items are not transferable. It happened like this:
1. They were meant to trade-able in the early days of the server, however we never has time to make duplicate items for Donation Girl, and Lenneth.
2. In the early days, all items were trade-able/transferable, which lead to all sorts of scams. As a result, duplicating the items got moved to the back burner as it could give us more headaches and issues to deal with.
3. As time went by, we had a realization that keeping all God Items account bound is beneficial to the server in that it makes players return for WoE. This makes WoE more competitive. If all the God Items are transferable, then nearly all players will have them, and there is much less of a reason to participate in WoE.
Yes, we know this is not a very good reason, but it makes a bit of sense to us. However, we somewhat do think that the benefits outweigh the complaints (not many) from having created God Items account bound. It isn't so much of an issue, because essences are trade-able, so players at least have a choice as to which account of theirs it is bound to.
In short - this happened out of history, and it isn't high priority for us to change it as it isn't generating many complaints, but we might make this change in the future. _________________ Support Reign Online by voting! |
