Name changing, it's possible, but Rain won't do it, so what about 'buying' name changes for Silver/Gold Coins?

Maybe if you could change the name of a character once every couple of months, for 125 vote tokens.

No, this is not possible.

You think it is possible because you see other servers do it. It is not possible because it:

1. breaks friends, guilds, pets, and log database mappings.
2. modifying the database will cause inconsistencies between what is in the database and what lies resident in memory. When the new data is loaded into memory, these inconsistencies causes crashes.

Other servers do not care about reliability, but we do.

This will not be implemented.

Although it would be too much of a hassle for the GM's with everyone wanting to change names. The GM's do not have enough time for this

If luzz says it cant be done, then it cant be done on his server, and he know's what is best for his server!! I don't see why people fight it so much, it's not like it's a low rate server, if you want a different name delet a character and remake it with a different name.

o_o...toft, your the one who chose w/e name for a char. if you wanted to change it, you shouldve changed it to the name you wanted in the first place.
