Post  Post subject: Problems with Windows 7 - please help! Reply with quote

I have Windows 7 and everytime I download and install Reign it downloads the patches and then when I click to log in the window closes and nothing happens. I didn't know if Reign was compatible with Windows 7 or if there was just a setting I needed to change.

Thanks in advance,

Nate

Hello, I have tested Reign Online to run successfully on Windows 7. However, I have heard of another report from a player who is having the exact same issue as you.

Please delete your Reign Online folder and desktop icons and re-install it outside of the Program Files folder (for example, C:\Reign would be fine). If this still fails, browse to C:\Reign, right-click reignclient.exe and select Run as Administrator.

Funny enough, I did not have any issues when I tested.

Let me know if these solutions work for you.

I re-downloaded Reign and did what you told me to, putting it on the C:\ and then after it did the same thing as before I tried running the reignclient.exe as an administrator and it said the "Load MapInfo Table Failed!" and "Unable to load table class_tab.txt". I tried the compatibility settings on both Windows XP and Vista and the same boxes popped up saying the same things. Do you have any other tricks or tips that could help me get it to work, like a possible firewall setting or graphics driver missing? On a side note it worked perfectly with Vista on this same laptop so I wonder if Windows 7 has a setting changed or something.

Thanks again,

Nate
