Is it possable to get 99 mdef? If so any good ideas on how to go about it?

I know it's possible to get 95 Mdef with Super Novice.
99 With donations.
Not sure about other classes, though.

| we usually have 100++ DEF, and we still get too much physical damage. i'm guessing that'll be the same with MDEF? if so, i'd rather stick to a gtb shield. |

You're talking about the wrong Defence.
It's not even possible to get 100 Defence.
If you did that would be 100% damage reduction.

if the players attacking us have Incantation Samurai Card or do critical damage on us, that amour DEF (if i not mistake the name...) will not working right?
2nd think would like to ask is the refine rate for weapon also works in %?

yeah, its possible. the question is, for what class, some have better specalized gear that makes it easier than for others. or are you asking for generic gear that works for ever char.
as for the def thing, incant, crits, ice pick or thana is the only way to easily beat someone with 99 Def (the last two opens them up like a can in a can opener)

The gear I use for 99mdef is:
High Quality Sandels-Megalith Card
Valk Shield-Seeker Card
Slotted Headgears-Gibbet Cards (usually all 3-5 )
Wool Scarf-Kapha Card
Silk Robe-Goat Card
I think that's everything. It's not that hard to reach, just add if anything is missing or whatever.

i thought using ferrya's set with valk shield gives you pretty good mdef bonus
also god items help
also magic dmg reduction by mdef works as percentages, whereas calculation physical damage deduction separates the vit def and + armor defs. The armor def reduces the damage as a percentage (not exactly the same % as the number on the armor def. there is an reduction factor...). The vit def just reduce damage maybe by (vit def)/10 %... not too sure... |
