[The Wolf]

As I walked acroos the bridge from the small sea port where I had landed only moments ago I thought about what was on the other side of this castle. I had heard so many stories about the kingdom of Rune-Midgart and all of its wonderful cities. My friend Ryu had been telling me to come see the kingdom. One day I got up the zeny to go and off I went. I walked into the citizen registering room.

I came face to face with a man in a semi-formal suit that asked me my name and informed me of a recent increase in enemies lately. He suggested I go to the training grounds but, I decided against it and went on my way directly to the city. They lead me through this long hallway and at the end stood a door with the word Reign on it. The doors opened into a world unlike anything I have ever seen.

In the capital of Rune-Midgart, Prontera, the surroundings were amazing. I ran into the city looking around and seeing what there was to see. I noticed that the was a fountain in the middle with a statue of a horse and knight. I started looking down into the water and it was crystal clear and I put my hand in it. The water felt cool and soothing compared to the kingdom that I had come from. I heard a voice call to me, "Hey. You must be new here."

I looked over at the strange man who had noted that I was new to this city and told him that I was indeed new here. He looked over at me and said "Im Han. I look after all of these wonderful people and this kingdom. I am not the king of Mid-gart mind you but, I am a king of sorts"

I looked at Han and back at the water and stood up straight and walked over and sat next to him. I looked around at the people walking the streets and talking and wondered. What was there to do in this town? What do they do for fun? What's the dream that these people come here for? Then I heard someone shout.

"Everybody hurry! The War of Emperium has started in Prontera!"

I looked around in a hurry wondering what I should be doing and where I should be going and why this is even happening. I looked at Han and exclaimed, "What in the world is going...", He cut me off and said. "Dont worry about them. The War of Emperium goes like this. There are so many castles in one city and the many guilds of Rune-Midgart come together and fight for them."

"Wont that kill them though?!" I yelled out without thinking. He looked at me and smiled. "No. You see a long long time ago when this kingdom was created the Gods and Goddesses enchanted this land with the power to heal and ressurect all of its dead. Unfortunatly with this though came the outbreak of hideous creatures we still fight today. Sometimes these creatures can be caught and tamed. This is done many times with my personal faveorite creature the Poring."

I took in what he said and saw all of the people running to their somewhat of a doom. A war without death is an interesting concept. Without death though...whats the point in life? To just live forever with no responsibilities? Whatever the case may be I like this new kingdom so far. I decided to see where my friend was since there was a few people still left in the city. The I saw this man dressed in armor with a spear and shield. I asked him if he knew where my friend was and he told me that he didnt know he was a simple dueling arena guide. After hearing this I decided to go see this arena for myself.

The man lead me down another long hallway and said here you go Man versus Man room. I just looked at him then turned back to the arena. The view took me by surprise it was a wooded area that wasnt familiar to me. I knew it had to have been another part of the kingdom then something came flying at me and I barely dodged it. I looked the door behind me and it was a throwing star that was engulfed in flames. I plucked it from the wall and it wasnt hot at all.

I looked back in front of me and my friend was in front of me and was throwing ninja stars at me. As he threw them he yelled "Hey Wolfboy!!!" Then he hit me so hard I fell to the ground and writhed in pain and I saw this light come down and take me away. I traveled for a little bit wondering where this tunnel was gonna take me and then I felt ground under my feet.

I looked around and went into a bit of a mini freakout. "What the?! Where the?! WHERE AM I?!?!?! AM I DEAD?!?!?! WHAT THE!" I saw Han again and he told me I was back in the town square. I wasnt gonna question how I was just happy to be alive. Then my friend reappeared in front of me.

"Welcome to Rune-Midgart that was your first death of many to come." and he laughed a little. I looked at him and chuckled. "Well ummmm thanks?"

"Your welcome," then he began to walk away towards the north where the War of Emperium was taking place. I didnt worry about it much now that I have seen the full power of the creators of this kingdom. I simply turned my back and flopped down on the ground. What a day.
