Luzz changed it a few patches back. Your Hom no longer loses intimacy when it dies in PvP, or if you die.

Pets arnt Homunculus. They never lost Intimicy when you died (Homunculus that is) Pets on the other hand have always... No matter were you're at...

Ohz, I'm sorry. I just forgot the whole idea that there were actually pets that weren't Homunculi... That's my problem, sorry.
