Read it, but I did not sign cuz i'm not in US, but I sympathize...
That Senator is a Di** Head for pushing that bill, maybe he dont know how important internet is to everyones lives. and its even your military that invented it.
IMO that wont push through cuz in all cases RATS will find a way to make another hole if you plug up the hole that they're using now.
also, in light of that, the best quote would be "Haters gonna Hate"
but he should be the one hated for that. _________________

If the military invented it it's probably an issue of national security. I still signed it and agree it shouldn't be passed but with all of the people wanting this bill to NOT come to fruition, I think you should also realise this..
Terrorists and other organizations bent on the destruction of the US, can and DO use the internet for their own purposes. I read an article about spies and terrorism groups embedding top secret information into the coding of simple JPEGs or music files. The nature of computer files makes it easy for people to hide sensitive information within ordinary things via the internet. And while it's wrong to censor everything on the internet, because we, as people of the same world, deserve to know whats going on in other parts of the world, we can't keep track of everything that goes on. Sometimes there are only a few solutions to a great problem, and as disturbing as they can be, sometimes it is necessary to remove certain liberties to protect the more important ones.
You should all understand that our freedom is in jeopardy. Our government isn't perfect, no government is, but they are still trying to protect us and do everything in their power to keep those who would attempt to destroy us at bay. And even those of you who hate our country, our military, and our government, despite all of the negativity that comes with being a country like ours, should realise that no matter what you think of us we will still fight for your freedom.
In summary, I did sign it, I do oppose the passing of this bill, but I also want everyone to realise exactly why this is happening. It's not to rob us of our freedom, it's suspending one of our freedoms, to protect our other freedoms. Which is the lesser evil? I don't know. But I do know I'm glad to have a country that will take steps to protect what's important to me. |

I highly doubt the US is trying to push this to "protect" us.
It's Big Brother 101. |

Could be taken either way. I'm not saying it is or it isn't. What I'm saying is people need to be more aware of the fact that everything the US Government does isn't to steal our civil liberties. Alot of what they do is meant to help and protect us. People can be very easilly swayed to believe that the US government is just a big evil syndication of old geezers with fat wallets and near-sighted opinions. And while that's true at times, it doesn't make them any less, our government. We don't always like it, but we adhere to it, for the most part, because in return we're granted much more freedom than anybody else.
I'm on your side, here. I voted not to pass this bill, because as for the most of you out there, I don't like it. But your vote and your opinion should not be based solely on the fact that you think the government is trying to screw us out of freedom. Look at both sides of the bill. See things from more points of view than just your own. |

its a reading skill that you only read the main idea of a paragraph avoiding the not so useful information but preserving the thought of what the message is about. for short, he read it really quickly and got the main idea at that. _________________

so in short you mean its a kind of Chemo-therapy, where they kll all the bad cancer cells in the body and eradicate the good and working ones as well in the process... harsh, but if its effective in that sense then it may have a chance, but everyone still hates it... ^_^ _________________
