No. Too much work, won't be used at all, it just has no point. |

I didn't say I was against the idea. I'd love to have Incubus Horns that weren't useless. |

The original suggestion is the same as the reforging system.
I dont mind the idea. But as someone said, half the tactics of the game is knowing what your opponent is using and being smart enough to counteract that. _________________ Characters-

I'm actually pretty sure what Luzz didn't like about this idea the first few times. |
My only counter to that would be this...Does the knowledge of the headgear they're wearing make such a large bearing on how they are approached in combat? In time I'm sure players will come to sort a be able to guess what the "true" headgear a player is wearing... |
This is the reason why this was rejected in the past. By looking at an opponent, you should have some idea what they are equipped with, and how to battle them.
Yes, looks matter, but you can wear anything you like when you are not battling. When I am at home, I am in my underwear. When I am out to a meeting, I am in a shirt and slacks.

At the same token, Luzz, you should be able to fight your opponents once and determine the equips they are using in the first place. That's what makes a player "good": being able to judge what equips they are using based on one or more fights, and act accordingly to change things in your favor.
If everything was out in the open, there would hardly be a point in playing because you'd know the perfect counter, and your opponent would know the perfect anti-counter, and you would know....etc.
Besides, what about converters? You can't see them. You can't see when someone is wearing Kiels or GTB before you fight them. You can't tell a stalker's build before they attack you. You can't tell what kind of weapon an opponent is using until you hit them once to reveal it.
I disagree with you. "By looking at an opponent, you should have some idea what they are equipped with, and how to battle them", AND BE INCORRECT. You should see that an LK is wearing wind wings and a Pure Valk Helm, you put on Wind Armor and a Thunder Pot, and use Holy Wings, only to see that you're getting hit for 30k BBs and doing 0~300 Damage because they used an Earth Converter and put on Angeling. And then you should be SMART ENOUGH to understand the causes of these instances, and change it up.
I believe: By looking at an opponent, you should have NO or LITTLE idea what they are equipped with, and how to battle them. You should FIGHT your opponent, determine for YOURSELF what they are wearing, and adjust your OWN equips/tactics to defeat your opponent. And you should look STYLISH when you do it! _________________ SUPRISE BUTTSEX. PREPARE!

I'm voting yes, only because in the 2 years I've been on Reign, my hat has done literally NOTHING other than +10 to all stats, I know there are plenty of other headgears that give just +10 as well, and cost the same as my hat, and really, I'm not being forced to wear it. But I mean, I'd be happy with +8 to all stats and +3% mAtk on that thing... So yeah, voting on it, despite the fact that I'm pretty sure it's impossible to script this 100% working right away without a lot of hard work and time (since none of us have that script on hand, I think Luzz or someone else would have to script it themselves), and Luzz definitely has more important things to do than this. _________________

I'd like to say that of 28 votes, 19 made a "Yes" vote and 9 made a "No" vote. Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes the idea @_@
I understand that it would probably be difficult to script and/or implement, and that it would certainly take time to do so. But I don't want this to be totally dismissed, because it really is a good idea.
Another idea I thought of is that (For each respective hat section ONLY) that you could pick the "hat style" for free for each donate, and then a "hat effect" for that specific donate.
So for example, first, when I go to trade in, I select what I want (let's say Angra, worth 15 GC). Then I choose that I hat I would like, but not for an amount, for "free" (let's say I choose Frog Prince Hat). THEN a new screen comes up saying "What do you want this hat to do?". And options would come up (that can ONLY apply to Upper Donates) such as "+10 Stats" for 10 GC, "+5 Stats, +10% Matk" for 10 GC, "+10 Stats, Unbreakable Weapon and Armor" for 15 GC, "+5 Stats, 10% chance to freeze" for 15 GC, etc. So I could choose the freeze for 15 GC.
Thus I would get a Frog Prince Hat that gives +5 Stats and can freeze at a 10% chance when attacked for 15GC. Which is normal.
Remember, it's not the HAT we pay more or less for. It's the EFFECT we want. So why not have the best of both worlds, if we can? _________________ SUPRISE BUTTSEX. PREPARE!

I vote no, cuz its too deceptive... Luzz is right, you wear clothes that fit occasions, wearing something Bright colored like RED is a funeral is just unapproptiate, also, the sprites and descriptions in the headgears are well thought of just for us to ruin it. you can change it anyway player's side, like changing the sprite of the stuff you're wearing to what sprite you want but not altering the item on other people's monitors, that way, you can view yourself as how you want to see yourself without extra effort.. I clearly see why Luzz didn't consider this... _________________
