I can fully understand the no @sleep thing. but what i found recently was i couldn't talk after i died. Now i know pvp isn't a social meeting place but i find it rather annoying. I was told it was to prevent shit talking while dead. Last i checked you can rez and re kill, thus knocking them out of the room if they are that annoying. Trust me, it would get old after a while i assure you they would stop.
Even if they cant talk while dead they will just come back in and do it again anyways. so i say take off the no chat while dead. might put a poll up to see what others think.

People found ways around the dead thing as well. They would die with an ED on and talk shit so you couldn't res kill them. They were also using @me as well.

People love drama on this server and with the current size of the pvp room people can run over to the other side of the map to talk. Then again I have a problem with this entire servers PVP notion as well, but I'll keep that to myself.

I've said it before and i'll say it again: keep shit the way it was. what next, votes to keep people out of pvp? Woe? here's a vote for you: if you're bitching about people who do shit, you're just as guilty as those who do it.

here's my reasoning. 9/10 times, it's always another person instigating. i firmly stand against the reasoning of disabling @pvpignore in certain modes, due to the reason that there's people who INTENTIONALLY cause problems in matters that don't even concern them. then they take these matters further by causing more instigation.

it's a psychological thing, the first move is never seen. it's the attention getter. the moment the move's been made, everyone's eyes are on the scene where the assaultee retaliates, making them the undesirable.

How about this: If you're going to talk shit, stay out of pvp. if luzz has to hire a gm specifically to ban people for talking shit in pvp, then so be it. If serverwide rules are ignored "just because it's pvp", then all other rules that fall into the same category are also moot. "oh look, i can get away with this because it's allowed here".

This is an objective statement. If you want to make this personal, and insult me, get the **** off this server. just go.

agreed cy. i mean yes i know people can get caught up in the moment some time but when your doing personal insults all cause your sprite lost more hp than some guy and its just easy to respawn. then yeah your a douche.

As a GM I see my fair share of these things that caused this change to happen. While I will not go into much detail I greatly support this idea in the spirit that people will always find a way to be a bother, in and out of pvp woe prontera and ragnarok in general. In fact, I would go as far as to say Luzz is starting to lose his grip on trying to stay as official as possible because officially.. it does not matter if you can talk, and there is certainly no @sleep and the fact that the rule and the command are even there, are proof of the "obvious".

No "hate" just my opinion. Thank you.

I'm okay with reverting back.

I think the message has been heard, and players know a bit better now.
(Plus it was an exercise for me to see if it is possible to do).


If we revert back, I'll likely remove @sleep from No Mercy room.

I'll see how everyone feels and decide before the next update.

i dont mind the no @sleep thats fine in pvp. just the no talking thing is kinda odd lol

specially if your training with someone, its a pain to re log and come back, when you can just talk right there about what works and doesnt.
