I think Reign is officially at a critical point in terms of server size and what not. This topic will only deal with how we can attract more players and keep them here. Any and all ideas will be needed. If it is currently on Luzz's to do list I will mark it with a check at the end of the post

My ideas on this matter.

Most players enjoy a big WOE, but when you come to Reign all you see is 2 guilds. And the amount of people on during WOE is about 60 currently. We brought up topics and are awaiting Luzz to put those in. So this is going to happen soon so I'll mark it with a check.



PVP an onset of WOE basically, towns are way to big for the population we have now. Luzz is currently working on a rotation, but I think we should just setup a few PVP rooms using GVG maps. My suggestion for the rooms are this.

1-99 BOC rules. Find out who really is the best of class.
100-200
200-255
All Levels

We can also add a pvp ladder for each room, and take away the social part of it since PVP is really about PVP and not about talking and socializing. That is what towns are for.



Next is the MVP arena. I know when I came to the server it was a deal breaker for me. I literally left after I saw it. I know if I did a number of other people did as well. The current one is too easy and takes away the joy of actually pumping a MVP card. I suggested one to fix that and make it even for all players. Waiting on final say for that one.


Feel free to add more, I have to get ready for class. Do not think of yourself when posting think about what we can do to attract more players and check your ego at the door.

I think maybe if we moved up in rank on some of the voting sites it could help a little. Possible ways to get more people to vote could be to add voting items that rotated every 2 weeks so that the people who wanted them would vote within that two weeks, instead of putting it off and never end up voting. All of these items could eventually be rotated back in stock so that nothing would end up being unobtainable. It would probably keep players voting more consistantly.
Also enriched ores in the voting NPC. I think a lot of people would probably agree with this one. Maybe boxes of 5 or 10.

Buuut, I dont know how much being higher on the lists really matters, I just know in the past when we were looking for a new ro server we usually didnt go past the first page, and I think Reign is on page 2 of the two biggest sites. We were actually looking for somethign specific this time which is why we made it past page 1.

And as far as voting is concerned, maybe make a less powerful version of Angra that you could get for silver coins. Maybe just powerful enough make it easier for new players who cant afford to donate to level and be useful in a leveling group and not just leeching, level easier solo, and farm zeny to buy gold coins to get donation gear. Ive only been on the server for a couple months and I've already seen a handful of new people get frustrated and quit becasue they couldnt/didnt want to donate right away and its really hard to get a group if you dont have angra. I think a lot less new players woudl quit if they had an option to get a weapon similar to angra without donating. With the way it is now you almost have to donate to get a group, or to appreciate what the server has to offer, and that is not a possibility for everyone.

Currently it goes as is

"The timers are off, and it sucks depending on the monster."
"Someone stole the monster and the timers, and here are the unwanted drops to prove it, lets wait another 16 hours"
"People keep KoS'ing me so I cant kill the monster."

Here is MVP Room.

"A room with tons of monsters that dont have completely sucky cards and you cant be KoS'd in or have to worry about timers? OMG YAY!"

Then again I am a casual player, so I don't spend all day in game.

My suggestion is to have 2nd tier voting equips... like wings and headgears with stat bonuses.. a poor man's angra.. i believe seeing other players level up quickly and get overpowered by stat bonuses are factors that make new players leave...

just a thought though...

I think there should only be two pvp rooms. Two only, one social, one no mercy, on a rotation of small towns and customized maps.
