Kinda difficult to do when most players break traps with Mag Break and run, instead of fighting like WoE is supposed to be about. Not whoever can break the traps fastest and hope to hit the Emp.
I bet if traps no longer had hp, it'd be a lot more interesting to see. _________________

OK my brain is out of business books and onto this stuff.
I disagree with points 1-3 (Would change #1, Change #2, Dont know on #3) and here is why.
#1:
Current EMP break speed by a Class A Breaker SinX is about 4-5 seconds.
This is a problem, but I would test a 2 Mill HP EMP before going as drastic as 10 or 15 Mill, it can take a LK, about one to two minutes or more to break one Emp, at 2 Mill it could be 3-5 minutes for one Emp, anything past 2-3 Mill is punishing other classes more than the root problem (The SinX). Emps have fine HP I think, and 2 M would be a welcome testing amount, but the main problem lies in SinX's themselves, not the EMP's.
#2:
I agree sometimes traps seem meaningless, but if the traps had "More HP" this would be pretty easy to test out and see if it works, its just finding the right code and modding traps HP values. Making them 100% indestructible is again, a bit too far I think, although there are other ways around it, its just a bit to radical to do right off the bat . That does not apply to me though, I just hoover all the traps like a vacuum. (+9000 to whoever gets this joke)

I already spoke on this earlier, what caused this was AD doing over 9000000000 damage a hit, and what combated that was a very good healing item that was as spammable as acid demo/AD+Kiels was. Ad is still spammable, even without Kiels.

Not to sound rude, but better defense? All a guild would need is 5 LK's spamming pancakes, or giggles to take a castle. Zero skill is required nor can it be really 100% defended. Just imagined if SOS was a guild full of LK's, no one would really be able to stop them from taking their castle.
To be blunt the current WOE model caters to Lord Knight's. Snipers who used to be a pivotal part of WOE are now by the waste side. This is because of some scripter on eathena who was tired of being owned by a Sniper using traps. Prior to that no class dominated WOE like currently.

To bypass it is dirt easy, RIGHT NOW, but this is assuming Pnuema clips stay @ 5% and are not changed.
Both happening at once is risky business, and might lead to bad horizons I think, I am not 100% sure, Im just weighing in concerns, not solid facts.
As for a Zerking LK, I thought you couldn't use ANYTHING in Zerk no? (Guess who does not play a LK.) And if you can still use them, Zerk needs to be fixed so you cant spam healing items while in it. _________________

Would just be nice to see more guild vs guild battles in WoE. Like last wednesday and earlier today. Very exciting and lots of fun. Even when I died...it was just a blast to be out there.

Well you'd still have the spammable healing items (Giggle boxes)....just anything that heals more than 10% would be ineffective.
BTW, I never once said in my RO years God Damn Acid Demo >.> <.<

1: An LK with the right gear can break it way faster than 2mins. More along the lines of 20-25 seconds if that, as it currently sits.
2: Making the traps indestructible would make a Sniper useful for attacking, as well as defending. Remember Snipers do have a skill called "spring trap" and remove trap. As well as Stalkers.
3: Depending on the players gear, they can nullify AD to about 900 a hit. factor in 200K hp that is a lot of AD. Which pancakes can take care of quite easily. 10 hits is 9000 damage, Pancake is 10% hp, out of 200k is 20,000 per pancake. Wanna rethink your stance on this one? Gear plays a factor on both sides of the equation. |

An LK can spam as many healing items it wants and can carry, and once it runs out we can zerk. By that time we are already at the emp. Guess who does play LK....
For AD all youre thinking about is pneuma... There is more to it then just that. And for what I am thinking pneuma isn't even a factor. |

New guy got spunk... I like it .
The ideas, I like em, wish something would have been mentioned about ppl who use FCP with the Ahura outside the castle. Thats what creators are for, but let me not troll your topic.
The only one I don't like is the GTB one, reason is I have one, and I like hearing the QQ in town by wizzy's. Could I give a compromise... MAYBE... Let me sleep on it. _________________

Snipers only trap in WoE? Clearly, you guys must suck hard at Snipers.
Changing GTB? Why not change Hydra too so it does 10% instead of 20%? Naah.
Body Relo. in WoE? A couple of Champions could take a castle from 30 people then.
Indestructible Traps? There was a reason it was changed, no? To get past that, you'd need Snipers/Stalkers and Champions/Priests to remove them and Pneuma, and they'd probably all need GTB, but by the time the traps are gone, you're 'gone' too.
More Hp? What it's on right now sounds about right, about the same amount of time it takes for someone on iRO to break the Emperium.

Well thats just it sadly, it depends on your gears 100%, to force it one way is unfair to those without said gears, even if they do have a thread in marketplace paying more than usual to obtain "certain" gears. To leave it unchecked is as you said, unfair to AD users however there are counters.
I know there are weapon cards that make you do XX% more damage to ghost property, whether that applies through things like Acid demo though idk, just check RMS for it. There are also snipers with Immaterial Arrows, SG for freezing GR users, full stripping, verters, elemental weapons, etc...
There are many counters to GR+Deviling through many classes, and thats what WoE is, MANY players doing MANY roles.
All players should not punished because a select few have a GR / Deviling and AD cant touch them as well as normal people, it is more than counter-able without touching healing items.
My stance is unchanged, on this third one, I said I didnt know how to go about this, and doing one thing but not another is unfair, for every action there is (or should be) a equal and opposite reaction. _________________

Old fart, stepping up.
Anyone who says anything in this game is "Absolute" or "Unstoppable" clearly hasn't tried everything. In the good ol' days (I say that to secure my role as an old fart), there was no class or tactic that didn't have an appropriate counter. My guild had (minimum) two of every class, and we were all on to fight during WoE. We fought, we held out, we won, we lost, we laughed, we cried.
It's a game. Be creative. Demanding to change things isn't creative.
Also, as for tactics? Here's a fun one: send your own GTB-equipped LKs after your enemies with GTBs. Let the crushing begin.
Though, admittedly, I would love to see the following "insane" change added:
Disable all item-related healing. Only allow healing from healing classes. THAT would be the ultimate "hardmode" for WoE. _________________

its very logical that ppl would go for emp first, it gives their guild the chance to set up their own defense and clear castle foes.
the traps idea i highly dislike...as apart of woe last wednesday for example (just using as example) SOS had a hella defense set up with just traps on floor and just had wizzys, alchy and sniper spam their stuff as the guild attempted to pass traps. if they were indestructable...sadly and highly doubt that anyone would get through. it was a bish was it was tryin to get through all the traps then have to face the guild xD was pretty sweet and good idea. Only real shot to get passed this was using anti-arrow accessory. so ruling that out would devistate the odds for the aggressors.
i can agree with anything else really...as this topic seems to go on and i read further detail i can really see the point in some of your ideas (growing to like because i know wuts its like to lose a whole week and possibly two of hard earned worth of invest)

First and foremost, I played a Sniper for roughly 6-8 years I think. My job during woe was trap, and DS ppl. Keep in mind this was on low rates, where cards weren't as easy to get as they are on here. On here you DS it triggers Pnuema like nothing. So a Sniper on here is delegated to only trapping.
GTB, Im iffy on it, but I can see where the OP is coming from. Its abundant on this server, and renders groups useless. If it were to change I wouldn't have a big problem with what he said. 75% chance of blocking all magic is still good to me.
Body Relocate doesnt make a champ god. Played on a server that had that and Berries, it was a walk in the park killing them.
Traps, old players knew how to play with them being indestructible. Thats why you had a guild with various classes. Now all you need is a LK with GTB to in essence take a castle. Players back then had skill, today's players lack it.
And it takes a player on iRO with 99/70 max lvl 10 seconds to break a EMP???? WTF are you smoking, solo on a low rate with just a Jahamander took me roughly 20 minutes to break an emp. Remember its not easy to get max aspd on a low rate.

Im just going to answer 3, OP can take care of the rest. Weapon cards do not effect AD. I know which card you are talking about and it doesnt help us ADers one bit.

That "Defense" of ours could have been taken out, with some thinking. I even said it myself, just surprised people didnt figure it out.
O and Snipers didn't do anything other then trap
