And this, ladies and gentlemen, right here, is why the economy is crappy. Not saying it's Glitchy's and Neo's fault but the fact that these items go for such ridiculous prices and not even prices involving in game currency (zeny) no one wants zeny anymore. It's all about GC's now it would seem. I've noticed how people automatically put the value of things as Gold Coins. If GC's are the basic currency, why do we have zeny? And another thing, GC's are equivalent to real american currency! That's $100! $100 you are spending on an MMO! GAH! -.-'

Agreed!! and where would kids get $100 from? their parents? why would their parents give $100 for something that's not real?

Its ok, I myself have spent about 20$, but it was on donates junk so I didnt feel bad about it. XD
Could never fathom spending 120$ on a single card though, thats just insane.
For the price of 3 Kiel cards, I could probably start my own RO Server, or be very close to having the funding to start it, and even then, if I made my own server good enough I could be making money back, so its not a complete waste.

There are more ways to earn GC than donating. Just because you can't donate doesn't mean you can't get GCs through camping MVPs and selling them or simply farming for money and buying them from players or the GC vendor.
The prices are the way they are because of how the community here has set them and if you can't find a way to meet that price then you'll either have to wait or find a new way to acquire these things you need.
I'd like to note that the prices have already dropped down to nearly half of what they were before so I wouldn't be complaining at all if I were you. Get a job or find some time to farm or camp, but don't complain that you can't afford these things. Not our problem. |

but it is your problem half or not its still crazy sure i have alot of money and i could pretty much buy every card but my family wont let me(''bigbrother nope/new parents/who were very happy with) nope and you say camp the mvp well its kinda HARD when we got a whole sever doing that samething you say farm for zeny ok i have i have 1.784bil on my accont and yet how many people do you see selling i more see buyers. its people who got the rare mvp cards who are makeing this a problem for the best for they want to be the best and hey i got this card if i do want to sell it ill want alot of money for it. when in truth you likely got it for free its a handydown you killed and got lucky( which doesnt make you better your just lucky and more peoples could have killed more without luck and not got/HardROCK is a HUGE exmaine of that she hunted gtb for like ever never got she goes to kill SK/Garm once ta da cards) pure luck of the draw and all that time i like to think 5 more GB cards poped up so its luck for buying kinda hard(very for me) get a job?(is a kid) ask parents(has always no/same for xmas) so in a sense its both partys fauilts for buying it(for a game that is not real) and people makeing them crazy

The fact is if you're unlucky or too lazy to camp/farm then you won't get the cards you need without donating. Save getting things as a hand me down. If you can't find a seller then you need to hunt it. These are the time consuming things that come along with playing games like this. I can't help it if people aren't lucky in card drops. I also can't help that people aren't always selling their cards. It's a game of haggling and you have to make it worth that person's time to get what you need. Obviously not everyone can get a job. This is why you need to spend that time you don't spend at work: camping and farming. If you can't get a card you need it's because you're broke or unlucky. And the only reason you'd be broke is because you're too lazy to go farm zeny. Everyone has the same chance of a card dropping from an MVP. The market prices of these cards reflect that, based on the communities views on what they're worth. It was already stated before in this thread. If you don't like the price of a card: Don't Buy It. The prices will go down if people can't sell their cards. Supply and Demand. If the demand is down due to high prices and the MVP campers gain a surplus supply of these cards; the prices will drop. But when everyone wants cards and there's only a limited supply of these cards available, the prices will increase.
On a Side Note: You can get GC for FREE (Yes, ->Free<- )very easilly. Go farm Zeny. Buy them from a player or from the donate girl. But Neo! They're 50m at the Donate Girl! ....So? The zeny you just farmed was free. In fact, once you've found someone to sell the card it can be purchased entirely for fake pixel money which you gained through spending some time working for it in-game. |
