Welcome back guildies – old and new. Slight addition to the mission statement this time around. I can say with absolute certainty that I’m not going to wake up at 5am to defend a castle anymore; hence, we won’t be WoE’ing for the essences, but rather, just WoE’ing for the sake of WoE’ing. In the past, we never missed a single WoE, but I won’t be guaranteeing that going forward. I don’t have a burning desire to win every battle nor can we always be there every time. Bottom line, we’re just here to have some fun; WoE when we can, do some pvp, and just taking it easy – relatively speaking. I’m not sure how much things have changed in our 9 month absence, but I hope to see some healthy competition in WoE and pvp.
On that note, let me address all the new requests to join SOS. I’m flattered that you would want to join us, given our oftentimes hated reputation. However, in the spirit of keeping the server competitive, specifically WoE, I am respectfully declining all new requests. On the last server we played, I saw firsthand the detrimental effects when a single guild contains the majority of the server population. SOS already carries a large number of members from our escapades on previous servers, most of whom will be rejoining us back on Reign. Couple our existing members with all those wanting to join, we would quite frankly, be eliminating the competition we’re seeking. There are few folks that were not with us on Reign, but spent considerable time with us on our last server who I’ll make exception for should they wish to rejoin us. Other than that, I hope you guys forgive me for declining your guild requests for the sake of server competition. I hold neither grudges nor ill will towards anyone on this server. I just want to see healthy competition that will hopefully lead to a boost in server population which I know everyone is desperate for.
