 Post subject: Upgrading to +10? |

| I see alot of people with semi rare items that are +10.. Is there something Im missing? I can only get +8's at the blacksmith upgrader. ... :\ |

Whitesmiths (The player class) can +10 any weapon ingame via Weapon Refine skill, and if there job level is 120+ they have a MUCH better chance at getting +10 then Hollengrehn ever will.
That lazy idgit of a dumb NPC he is, I honestly think he is more useless then Brahm in the cathedral but whatevs.
Now while Hollengrehn is a fat lazy idgit who I despise ingame for alot wasted time and item farming on, he is the only way you can refine armors, boots etc. so he is sadly a necessary evil.

dude i have a +9 naga shield and a +9 valk mant. it has taken me some time to make them. on a double drop day a while back i hunted nothing but naga shields. i ended up getting a grand total of 175. and out of those i literally only got 5 to +8 . they all broke after that. i bought a +6 at the mall once and managed to get it to +9 before stopping.
its all random.
now weapons and what not you have a much higher chance with if your white smith is job level 120 . and you need to learn the right skills say to get a bonus to level 3 weapons.

Hollegrehen is not the only one refiner that can refine armors. there are some refiners that have been forgotten by time but are still there, only they have either been re-located or long forgotten. there are refiners in Payon town and Morroc. look for them.

I knew the payon ones existed, but are their chances any higher then Hollens?

nah, they're pretty much the same cause Gravity placed them there and only their names different but they are still Hollegrehens. they're just there for ease of access, the official servers dont have warpers you know. they dont have those job changers and item malls so technically the refiners are there but they all have the same chances.
