Post subject: My Laptop - Gaming Issue |
|

I have a brand new laptop.
8GB Ram
i7 1.6 Ghz and it boosts up to 2.8 Ghz believe.
1GB ATi Radeon Graphic Card
Yet it is playing Modern Warfare 1 very laggy like. My computer plays it fine and the specs on my computer are the slightest bit less then the lappy. Internet connection is fine.
My laptops resolution is 1360*768 and when i set it on that on MW, the frame rate is horrible. It plays alot better on a 1028*768 setting but it is as small as anything. Graphics settings are fine. Is there anything i am missing?
Help would be appreciated, thanks. _________________ Characters-

I'm going to go ahead and say 8gb of ram is enough, but you probably want more. |

More is not possible. 8GB is as much as comps can handle. _________________ Characters-

Actually, if your motherboard has four DDR3 slots for your memory, you could get away with having four 4GB RAM memory chips under the sole condition that you have a processor that can utilize all of that. I know the high-end Intel processors finally support above 8GB, but I havn't investigated the new AMD lineup yet.
But as for your laptop... You might want to run a benchmark test to see where the problem lies in your lineup. I, personally, suspect that you might want to check your frame buffer settings. In addition, how're your drivers, dude? All updated? _________________

Is the format Windows 7? The friends that I have that own a Windows 7 as a format have trouble playing even low-resolution games. If so that may be the problem? (Not good with these) _________________ Reneshin ~ 255 Knight Lord

My laptop had 1 RAM, and it ran smoothly there. I'm just gonna point my finger in a crazy direction and blame it on Windows 7, as most (or all) of my friends have problem playing games when they use Windows 7, even the low resolution ones, like I said in my last post. _________________ Reneshin ~ 255 Knight Lord
