My laptop die on me earlier this week I been using my sister laptop to log in at night. I need help picking a new one. I was going to buy a Sony cw, but I'm not sure if I should. I was going to get a i5 2.40 ghz brillant pink laptop, I'm having second thoughts on it. I was going to get either that or a mac book, but the only thing I like about apple is its apple icon. I pretty know as much about laptop as I do car.... Which is to use one and break one.... Anyway, Please help me pick a laptop _________________

one thing to make note of when choosing any piece of hardware is the hardware itself. How much battery life does it have? processor? most important is the type of video it has.
Many cheap laptops use something called "intel integrated graphics". These tend to be the worst you could get if you want to do any kind of gaming. look for either an nvidia or ati video chipset.
Macbooks are pretty decent once you figure them out. having started on the mac platform, i've learned that many game producers that develop for the platform exclusively tend to make fairly decent games. however, companies tend to be more concerned with their income than creating a user base, therefore neglecting the mac versions of any game they release.
This is not always the case, and i've played MANY games on the mac. I was nearly unbeatable in most quake 3 matches. yes, even with that godawful puck mouse the imac came with.
RO may work on the macbook but is not technically supported. you will also need to modify your setup using bootcamp, and install windows on another partition. I think it'd really only work well on the pro versions of the macbook. The bonus of the macbook pros is that they're built well, and is like getting 2 machines in one with bootcamp. It even runs vista and up exceptionally well. _________________

If you have no need for a Mac, do not buy one. (Needs include Graphic Design, Media work, or similar fields). Their price tag is only worth it if you're going to make use of it. (In addition, Reign Online will not run on the Mac OS. You would need a Windows OS program such as Boot Camp or Parallels to make it work).
In terms of a laptop, you need at least the specifications that match the specifications your games require. If your previous laptop could play everything you needed to, match those specifics or get a better one.
I recommend: ASUS or Acer laptops. Dell laptops are, in general, hit or miss (they can be great or terrible). HP laptops, in my experience, have not held up over time. Gateway and Sony laptops shouldn't be considered. And... I have no Toshiba laptop experiences.
Long story short: Get what you need with what you can adequately afford.
In doing a quick search, I found an example of a laptop that may fit your needs (or it may not. This is just an example and is not a suggestion. it's just an example of what exists on the internet at your fingertips).

P.S.: Newegg is a great place to search for, compare, and learn about laptops/computers. _________________

Toshiba is one of the best gaming laptops, aside from Alienware but alienware is extremely expencive , while toshiba a a really good one can get up to 650 _________________

The best advice I could give here is to tell you to get a computer instead. _________________ Characters-

Dan I work 1 hour and 30 minute away from home and my campus is 45 minute away if I speed.... I wanted a desktop but I can't carry it every weekend. Anyway, I just place the order for a Sony cw laptop. Wish me good luck or I just return it muahaha. I should be back and active in a week or two because I got a customize one..... _________________
