With the sheer number of Dark Illusion mobs inside the Endless Tower, their card will become readily available, allowing for the possibility of instant cast from level 1.
Here's how:
2 Berzebub cards on accessories ~ reduce cast time 30% each for 60%
Dark Lord Card on shoes
Dark Illusion Card ~ combined with DL, reduce cast time 20%
2 Clock Tower Manager Cards ~ reduce cast time 5% each for 10%
Peco Peco Wings OR Rune Ring (if you are mage class) ~ reduce cast time 10%
In total, reduce cast time 100% I love that this lets you ignore quagmire.
It WAS possible to get instant cast before Dark Illusion:
2 Berz cards (60%)
Robe of Cast (3%)
Peco Wings (10%)
3 Clock Tower cards (15%)
2 Katherine Keyrin cards on a +6 [2] slotted quest-able top headgear (12%)
(Snow Cap or Drooping Gir)
Both sets forfeit both accessory slots and at least 3 head card slots.
The difference between the two card sets is
the loss of a footgear slot for the first
vs. a total loss of armor and ALL headgear slots for the second
It's no wonder 150 dex is so common.
Update
The above is for instant cast when starting at level 1. The most practical combination of gears/cards I've found after trans is:
2 dark illusion on peco wing (or rune ring), 2 berzebub cards, one of which need be on orleans glove, and an orleans server shield.
This allows an open top-head, mid-head, armor, main-hand, manteau, shoes, and the card slot in shield. I found the Dark Lord card to be more of a trap. If the MS is activated, you are skill-less until the aftercast delay is done. _________________

You also can't wear the armor of cast at level one. :o _________________ ಡ u ಡ

Also, if I am not mistaken, cards do not stack that way.
That is, if you had two cards that reduce cast time by 50% (no, they don't exist), that's not 100% reduction in cast time, that's a 75% reduction in cast time.
I would need to test this though. _________________ Support Reign Online by voting! |

The first card set is tested and works
As for the second, i never bothered trying to upgrade a snowcap or drooping gir to +6, so, as far as testing goes, I haven't actually confirmed that one. With the scripting following the same pattern players use to get 100% resistances, it should work just as well.
Guess I'll have to go break some snowcaps to stop your doubting me Luzz.
Another difference Zeb pointed out, its true that the robe of cast can't be worn at level 1, so you would have to wait a bit on that one. You would only be at 97% cast reduction until you got to wiz/sage/linker.
But the first set is possible at level 1, where i made the statement.
Clips, sandals, sunglasses, and peco wings are all viable options from level 1 to slot the card set with Dark Illusion. _________________

50% of 100 is 50.
Now apply the 50% to that 50.
They don't apply at the same time.
Luzz is correct.
By proving him wrong, you've found a glitch that needs to be fixed. :o _________________ ಡ u ಡ

Perhaps, but then should the same idea be applied to elemental resistances?
fire for example
30% resistance on Aesprika
20% resistance on Valk shield
10% resistance from Flame Lord ring
20% resistance from fire resist potion
2 Lieb Olmai cards on, say Gazeti wings for 10% each (20%)
is 100% fire resist.
This is how it is implemented.
The cast reduction is following the same pattern.
It's just following the same format of stacking.
for the element example
its only when you combine resistance with reduction that they don't stack
where 50% resist
and 50% reduction
would yield the effective 75%
I don't think this is a glitch anymore than a possible 100% resist is.
What's broken, is the abundance of head slots that Gravity never intended. But then, this goes back to the same argument i had when people were debating whether Aesprika was broken or not, and I tried to say it was the 5 available head card slots that were the real imbalance.
All the card slots you have to give up to make this work makes it fair in my opinion. _________________

Time and resistance percentage are not the same, though I see what you are thinking.
You can only take a percentage away from casting time in RO.
But you can stack resistance up that way. Especially since the amount of damage always changes. _________________ ಡ u ಡ

I have tested this in game and confirmed it to be true.
2x Beelzebub + 2x Clock Tower Manager + Rune Ring + Dark Illusion / Dark Lord Combo + 1 DEX.
This combination allows for instant casting at 1 DEX with the current stat system on RO. _________________

I just attempted the second card set idea only to find the 2 slotted upper headgears aren't refinable
So, scrap the 2 katherine cards for 2 more clock tower and get yourself a wing staff (5%), this will also remove the need for the cast robe.
5 Clock Tower Manager Cards ~ 25%
Wing Staff ~ 5%
Peco Wings or Rune Ring ~ 10%
2 Berzebub Cards ~ 60%
= 100%
Other options are the Magic Eyes hat from the voting system (upper, 10%)
or using [1]Rune Charm Stones (1% each, obtainable from the Satan Morroc quest) for accessories to slot the Berzebub. The combined 2% would go with the 3% of the cast robe (together 5%), negating the need for either the Wing Staff or one of the Clock Tower Mng cards.
I don't know when I would get around to testing the Rune Charm Stones, I have yet to take that option as my reward. _________________

The stacking that Luzz and Zebruh were mentioning does happen with some cards. But some other cards, for some reason or another stack completely seperate of eachother and just add the complete totals.
As for which do which, I don't recall many. |

Better way
2 berzebub cards - 60%
Orleans server + orleans gloves - 10%
rune ring/peco peco - 10%
Dark lord + dark illusion - 20%
Whats more, this uses only 1 head gear slot. That allows for 3 Kiel cards (feeling lucky?) which added to the rune ring combo gives you 100% after-cast reduction as well, only if of course those stack similar to berzebub cards.
Also note that once warlock skills are introduced, if they are the same as the current build one of the skills at lvl 3 provides 20% cast speed reduction removing the need for dark lord and illusion. _________________ Lingerie - high wiz - 247

The orleans server and glove set is good, i'd forgotten that one, but again, its not something equipable until later. Still, I should have mentioned it with the others.
As for the 2 isilla cards, much like the vanberk, it doesn't always trigger, so you're taking a chance there. whats more, you would need for both of them to trigger for the full 100%. The scripting doesn't match with the other cards, so i don't know that it would stack. I welcome you to test it and post your results. _________________
