I've started taking an interest in drawing, it's really cool for me and i'm practicing hard. Does anyone have any kind of advice for begginer artists?
I'll also post some of the drawings i made so far later. _________________

Keep Practicing, if its bad the first time, you can do better next time, If someone criticizes you on how bad it is, ignore it. |

That's ok some of mine are like that, i seem to be really good when i'm copying something(Not tracing! I hate tracing ) Then when i try without a picture to copy i'm not so good, i find the actual head, hair, hands, feet, nose and eyes the hardest part. I know thats like almost the whole thing. Lately i've been drawing figures with cloaks and masks. What kinda art supplies do you suggest i use? It's kinda hard to come up with your own styles sometimes. _________________

I like drawing with charcoals and charcoal pencils. My hands get really charcoal-y afterwards but I usually end up with a good drawing :] maybe i'll post up examples sometime, all of my drawings are at my dorm. _________________ IGN: Rika Aoi * Sniper

Tracing is fine only for practice, but showing to others is a bad thing. Like its okay to trace so you can feel how the artist drew it, like tracing hair after awhile you'll get how others draw hair, but try not to clutch onto tracing. |

I don't plan to, Tear do you just use regular pencils and coloring pencils. I'm still unsure of what kind of pencil and colorings i should use. _________________

Yes i use Pencil and Color Pencils, i also use pen to ink in my drawings so they show up better.
Tip on inking: After inking in the drawing don't just go over it with the eraser, just let the ink dry for a awhile ~learned that the hard way~ |

Ahh ok, thanks for the tip. Until i get some more fine pens i'm using a black colored pencil to make my drawings show up. It's also hard to make the creases in clothings come out right. _________________
