I've been looking around but i haven't seen the game's system requirements. will a standard netbook (intel atom 1.66GHz, 1gB memory, no vid card) be able to run the game? |

one way you can tell if you can run it is to check if you have Direct 3d accelleration enabled. to do so, go to start > Run
type dxdiag. this will bring up system information. click the display tab.
there should be 5 buttons in 3 categories. ensure that the d3d accelleration is availiable and enabled. without it, ro will refuse to initialize.
Information from the iRO site:
Minimum Requirements
OS Windows 98se/me/2000/XP
CPU Pentium - 500 or equivalent
(AMD CPU, Celeron)
RAM 128M ¡è
VGA DirectX 3D Support
VGA Card with 8 MB ¡è video memory
SOUND DirectSound support
Other DirectX 8.0
Recommened Requirements
OS Windows 98se/me/2000/XP
CPU Pentium - 700 or better
(AMD CPU, Celeron)
RAM 256MB ¡è
VGA DirectX 3D Support
VGA Card with 32 MB video memory
SOUND DirectSound equivalent /
3D Surround Sound Support
Other DirectX 8.0, Wheel Mouse
In theory, your netbook should be able to run it. _________________

I run Reign Online on many configurations. One configuration similar to yours is a notebook with a 1.2GB processor, 512MB of RAM, and an Intel video chipset from about 6 years ago.
Runs fine, as long as you have the latest drivers and latest DirectX installed. I would not recommend running it with any other applications though.
I also have a Dell Mini-9, and Reign Online runs fine on that as well. _________________ Support Reign Online by voting! |
