We need ideas for one, those of you wanting competition should have 0 problems helping in this endeavor, because what better way to get competition than to get more people on the server, and make other guilds bigger? (And by zero problems, I mean I expect to see a full well thought out advertising post in this thread about it, from all of you who cling to "we want more competition", no questions asked.)

So list some ideas about advertising guys, and no, the usual server reviews on RMS wont mean much. We are not a high rate server, if people want a modded server they either A: get higher rates, or B: Get more custom items.

Now this is two things this server will not excel at because Luzz said so, he wants it as close to official as possible, and this is why I cant think of a good way to advertise for us, considering it goes against the very reason why people look for private servers. But hey it got us all here didnt it? (not me, I just follow Ed like a lost child actually and Ed picked this place by using the mouse scroll wheel of fortune)

So have at it folks. Dump all your ideas together and we will hopefully get a few good ones.

I know the feeling Bean, E.G.
GM Skyes Eyes of Morroc wings, they could be +3 to all stats and 0 card slots, but if they look right I would probably be a sap and donate for them anyways.

hmm there are a lot of ways.
Vote before playing or while playing take 5 mins earns cute hats n exchange and is helping the server to appear on the top tiers of ro server lists.
Be nice too new players, countless time i have seen pple that just joined or claims to be new and is just lost where mall is or where can find some pple etc, etc. and very few players are kind enough to chat with them show them around bla bla.
tell your friends about reign if they're gamers tell em like just for the lulz.

Now for server sided way of improvement i like when i have lots of quests to make quest that rewards me cute wing or cute hat.<-Also helps economy (pple who quest like asians have cute stuff to sell on their merchant for lazy pple like me)
Custom feature as disguise hats to be able to wear the hats i voted or quested for while keeping amazing stats the donate gear gives ( this also helps new players to the server to not feel depresed as everyone looks like they dont have donate if they disguise themselves)

quick edit: if custom quests for hats are too much, consider please custom quests for strange rare items that are usually "kafra shop items in iro" i.e: status foods boxes idk.

Its been over two weeks since dale got banned hasnt it? And if it hasnt then oh well, we'll just wait and see.

That still doesnt help with the facts that of all the private servers out there, we dont have as many custom items, quests, or a population, compared to some RO servers with 2000+ people.

And if they "Just want a free server" well then what sets us apart from all the other ones who might have more things than we do? not a thing.
Do you think people care if they are using custom made third classes? probably not, their just happy they are using third classes. This server doesn't even have automated events, which is a common staple among other servers. Sadly like Marine stated, even when we do have new people from time to time they get passed off as someone trying to scam or people flat out ignore them, I just know that's doing this server tons of good.

Also where is this advertising you speak of? I have never seen any what-so-ever. Go ahead and point some out to me, because this is all news to my ears.

What is keeping people on this server? not a whole lot. Considering we have had a LOT of goodbye threads recently in the past month, people are moving on to bigger and better things, whether its a new server or a completely different game altogether.

Well we know how long its taking Skye to do Eyes of Morroc wings, Do you know any good fiction writers who would give a crap and be willing to help out for nothing? God knows I have tried writing something but I suck with writing skills.

Sadly I too have seen what you talk about with newer players the few times I am on in a week. Would you feel like working together to making a newbie helping guild? I think Yohaseo said he used to do that on some other server, was just help newbies out with server meta basics (like where @mall is at, etc etc) and then once we tell them as much as we can they then go into a actual guild. (or it might have been someone else, I cant remember for crap)

Or do you think something simple like having another sign in the middle of Pront would be a good idea? FAQ's of course though.

i can help with the scripting item phase, however that's all i know abotu scripts.
a guide to help novices would be usefull and well taken by everyone who reads forum however lot of pple i have met in game as new players havent readed forum when i asked if they did so.
