So as you all know. People who are around reign love to use this command, @sleep. An players ESPECIALLY LOVE to use it in PVP. My question and problem I have with this is, what's the point of it? Especially in PVP. My suggestion is to take it out of PVP all together. PVP is a place of fighting, and because of @sleep, it's turned it into a chatting area, and an excuse to smack talk with no repercussions (can't smack them in the face ._.)...also people are starting to use a cowar out trick on chemists. They have a high level Hom. @sleep. And it can kill you without being able to kill it or kill the user. I didn't bother looking through the forum to find if a person made this suggestion so sorry if I took it.

KOE.
A couple if players have heard me mention this, and a small sum kind of liked it. This is just an idea from my old server I played on. KOE stands for King of Emperium. It's basically a mini woe. Every hour an NPC appears in prontara that you click on and warps you into a room. This room contains a flag and an Emperium right in the middle. And this 'mini woe' goes on for 15 minutes. You can't enter the NPC unless you are in a guild, and only 1 guild can own KOE....All WOE concepts apply. Now.. On my old server our credits were called kafras but you need thousands of them to get a donation item. When KOE ended, the guild that won and the players that were in the room that's in the winning guild got 15 kafras and went back to playing till the next hour. For this server I would say give out a simpler prize like...5 mil or maybe 1 gc? Though the idea of gold coins seems kind of rough so I lean more towered the zeny, since I know the lot of you like to multilog.. And get double of whatever. Again just an idea I would like to hear your guys opinions on it.

YES YES YES for KOE. I have done it on other servers and it is so much fun. I just hope this time we get a good prize for it. Make it worthwhile.

I dont want @sleep removed from pvp but i can understand the issues others have with it. So if the majority wants it gone, so be it. Smile

Sleep was implemented because Luzz intends no fighting to occur in pvp.

There were too many whingers, even though PvP means Player Vs Player, so luzz shut them up because he was sick of hearing it.

only reason i like useing @sleep in pvp is well i like wacthing people fight rather then fighting them myself

I love @sleep so keep it~ maybe the weaker players would like to watch the more stronger players fight for entertainment? most lower levels get killed just for laughs so @sleep is a way for them to watch and learn.

Your idea sounds fantastic, Fluffy.

As members of the best server ever, I think we can also pretty easily expand on the idea in order to make it something original to Reign Online, right? ;D

In that light, does it have to be an Emperium? If I read your post correctly, the object is simply a Mini-WoE style capture the castle tournament that lasts... some short amount of time? Or maybe it was the first guild to capture it? This means it's basically just like WoE, in that a certain player or three need to be capable of destroying this item in a short amount of time.

If the item were not an Emperium, then this opens the door to more numerous possibilities of interesting game play. The specific "enemy" could even be completely different every time it spawns. For example, an Emperium-esque enemy that only takes Magical Damage, and is instead immune to normal or even all physical attacks! Or perhaps a Ranged-only Emperioid (Yes, I just made that word up). Then of course, there are sizes and elements to be aware of!

And to make things even weirder... is it necessary for there to be just one on the map? Perhaps breaking the most of 3 Emperioids will cause the area to be conquered, instead of just one.

And does it have to be on the hour??? ;D As I was saying above, the drawback to a Mini-WoE would be its predictability (OK, that's my opinion, not a general consensus). However, if KOE happend 4 or 5 times a day, semi-randomly, then a well-prepared guild, or maybe just a group of guilds who party up, will have to assemble quickly and think fast to get the job done, instead of gearing up beforehand knowing exactly what to expect!

Well, since we're already departing the "box" in our current thinking strategy, let's just go ahead and crash through with glory!

New items. That's right, King of the Hillperium Headgears comes to mind. Among other possibilities, the addition or even reallocation of certain headgears which remain account-bound would not only provide fairly decent rewards for KOE, but also keep it from introducing too many game-breaking or economic items like zeny or Gold Coins. No offense to the suggestion of zeny or GC. I'm trying to brainstorm completely NEW things which don't already exist. ;D

Instead of simply handing out gear to all players involved, a guild master, or perhaps guild members individually might be able to cause another player to receive his rewards. Basically, this would allow guild members who are unable to donate for special headgears to receive PvP-worthy (Or at least slightly better than some of the quest items) headgears (something like, +2, 3, or 5 to stats) for participating in the crazy King of Emperioid Tournaments. Just one game wouldn't be enough for free gear, though, so you'd have to accumulate points. Perhaps the guild itself would simply accumulate points, and a guild leader (would have to be a magnanimous person) could distribute these rewards.

I think I've reached the end of my derailed train of thought, so I'll disembark.

As yes you were saying, this is exactly like a mini woe. You read correctly. And I can only write a small response, sorry. After reading your ideas and thinking about it. I don't believe they would be possible.as far as my knowledge would go to with ragnarok... That would be an overload of multitasking things. But it's a good thought. However. I do like the idea or the random hour thing. That was one problem in my old server. People were preping and preparing in advance so they could be as strong as possible. So the ransoms would be good. But the randoms need to fall in the middle of server nights so those who are of large out time zones still get to join. I also like your NPC reward person idea. We could get a money source that only goes to an NPC. Or maybe you could get a vote coin for winning? Hm? That sounds more fair type, and requires to extra effort for building more NPC,s and finding more unique items to put in there. Or maybe we could possibly get a reset each win of woe? To reset donates. (still liking the get 1 silver coin vote girl idea) just all new things.

would it work for Teh Xanthias idea if we could like umm put land proation preimely on the Emp or pneusse on the other?this way the emp can stay the nomal emp or however it will be and classes can hit it or not like magic and sniper as for close up classes like LK a unkillable barrier infrount of the emp and around?this way only long range classes can hit it and from lod pnuses and barrir is already int he game so its easy to install right? so a gm would have to make it up were lod stays for like idk forever and same with pneuses and the barrir have like 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999hp?

Uh Yeah that would work...and thats a good question. From how we did it on my other server the room you were put it, it automatically scrolled you down a little bit so snipers range is cut off some. So everyone has a chance. And a normal emperium, magic can't hit it o_o ... or did you WANT magic to hit it?

idk if it works or not but isnt the emp in BG hittable by magic?if it is then we can just use that if not..maybe a gm could do soemthing
