This Friday and Saturday night from 6pm - 10pm Central I'll be DJing on Ventrilo (Reign's Vent of course).

You can put requests here, and I'll take them all through the night as well. Music will include: Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, some Country, a little rap, and anything anyone requests. No request will be denied. However all requests will be played on a first come first serve basis.

This event is not without it's games and prizes. There will be an on-air contest held on Saturday. Top Prize: 10 GC. More details about the contest will be given at the beginning of the contest.

Karaoke is a possibility but will require everyone's cooperation. (aka silence when someone is singing).

Put on your headbands and red leather pants, rockers. You bring the beer, I got the tunes.

Ok since some people are having problems installing and using Ventrilo I'll post a bit of info on how to get you there.

1. Go to www.ventrilo.com
2. Go to the Download section.
3. Click the program that is appropriate for your system.
4. Once you've downloaded Ventrilo, install it and follow the on-screen directions until it's fully installed.
5. Open Ventrilo.
6. The first thing you should do once you've opened Ventrilo is create a username. Find the little arrow to the right of the User Name [drop down list].
7. Click it, then press New.
8. Enter a username for yourself. That's all that needs to be done here. Click Ok.
9. Now find the little arrow to the right of the Server [drop down list] and click it.
10. Again, click New.
11. For the title you can put anything you want (IE: ReignRO Vent)
12. Press Ok once you've created a title and enter in Reign's Ventrilo info.

Hostname or IP: vent.reignonline.net
Port Number: 3816
Password: wheyprotein

Once you've entered this information press OK.

13. Now in the drop down lists for Username and Server, select your usename and the ReignRO server. Press connect and Voila!

(Also you must move to the "Fountain" room, otherwise no one can hear you and you can't hear them ^^.)

Update:

Our prize event will begin tonight at 6pm Central Time.

The contests are as follows: Music and RO/ReignRO Trivia, "Guess that line.", "Name that Song", "Karaoke All stars", and perhaps more if I dream some fun stuff up.

I'll explain more about the events as they unfold. For the first 10 events, the prize will be 1 Gold Coin for the winner, and you can only win one event. Once you've won an event, you're out of the contests until the final event. The 10 people who win the first 10 contests are the one's who will be eligible to take part in the Grand Prize Event. (More details on that when the time comes).

The Grand Prize in the final event will be 10 GC and (possibly) a rare mvp card. (No it won't be RSX xD. It'll be worth it). So the grand prize winner will take home a total of 11 GC and (possibly) 1 Rare MVP.

Remember to turn in your requests for music ahead of time, (post on this thread), otheriwse it'll take a little bit to aquire the music and fit it in.

EDIT: I would also like to note that participation in every contest is not necessary. You may participate in whatever event you want to, until I have given away 10 GCs to 10 Winners.

Contest info:

Music and RO/Reign Trivia: Just like the title says. I'll ask some random trivia questions about some of the music we are listening to, Music in general, Ragnarok Online in General, or about ReignRO specifically. These responses will be timed to keep the internet searches to a minimum. This means you need to think quick, or search quick, because you won't have more than a few seconds to answer. Whoever PMs me with the correct answer, first, within the time limit, recieves the 1 GC as a prize and is then ineligble to compete in any events until the Grand Prize Event.

"Guess that line": Pretty simple if you've ever seen "So you think you can sing?". I'll play a clip from a song, and it's your job to guess the next verse in the song. Do not blurt out answers. If you think you know it, then be the first person to PM me, ONCE THE CLIP HAS ENDED. You will then have 15 seconds to either sing or type out the next verse of the song. The winner will recieve the 1 GC prize and eligibility for the Grand Prize event.

"Name that Song": Another simple game. I'll play a short clip from a song and you must name the Artist/Band and the Name of the song. The first person to PM the correct answers, wins.

Karaoke All Stars: Hopefully I can get some decent participation for this event. For this event, anyone who has not already won an event is welcome to participate. A list of participants will be drawn up at the beginning of the contest. Once registration is over, no more contestants may enter for the remainder of the contest. Once the event begins the contestants may choose any song they'd like to sing. You can choose to sing only a portion, or the song in it's entirety. After your song has ended, the audience, who will from now on be referred to as "The Judges", will each PM me their rating of your performance. You will be judged on a scale of 1-10. I'm counting on the audiences integrity to judge people in a fair manner, and not based on your feelings about that person, however I can't control this, as this is how the event is set up so I will also submit my judging, using the same 1-10 scale, as a part of the total. All the scores submitted will then be averaged, (IE: Say you got a 6, 5, 2, 7, and 5. You add up the scores 6+5+2+7+5= 25. Then you divide by the total number of scores. There were 5 scores so 25 / 5 = 5. Your average score was 5.)The winner will recieve 1 GC and eligibility for the Grand Prize event.

These events will take place in vent and in RO. You do not need to have vent to win the Grand Prize. However most of the Prizes will be given out through contests on Vent. Only a few will be in RO.

Note 1: Any participant who becomes eligible for the Grand Prize event is not eligible to participate in any other events, aside from the one they won. Once you win, you're out until the final round. But if you don't participate you don't get even get a chance at the final round hehe. So best participate for your shot at 11 GC and a Rare MVP card. (Most likely ESL or Maya)

Note 2: Any participant who wins an event and then is not present for the Grand Prize Event, forfeits their position. If someone does forfeit their position, that position will not be filled by anyone else. Just improves everyone elses chances for the Grand Prize.

EDIT: It will be whoever else is present in Vent and not participating in the Karaoke event. I'll hold this one towards the end of the night so there has been some contest winners and then they can be judges. I'm hoping Kelly will be back on tonight, and Mono said he'd show up but I doubt that'll happen. It'll be a longshot to get Luzz on. (maybe I can get a quick guest appearance out of him ;D)
