i know there is an MvP room and i know a new version for it is being debated(somewhat) but i believe that even WITH an MvP room, the MvPs that are in those rooms be allowed. Meaning that the floor of Geffen Dungeon that would hold the Doppelganger be reopened. I have tried going down there once and the exit portal that would lead to floor 4 was non-existant. We should at lease be allowed to find all the MvPs that are in the MvP rooms also in the area you would find them originally.
PLEASE DO NOT SAY THAT THIS IS ALREADY PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED AND ESPECIALLY DO NOT USE MOONLIGHT FLOWER OR DRAKE AS AN EXAMPLE!! THIS THREAD IS SIMPLY TO ALLOW EACH AND EVERY MVP THAT YOU CANNOT FIND IN A WILD AREA TO BE FINDABLE IN THAT AREA AGAIN!!!
if there is a problem please simply ask a GM to close this thread

What the blue hell are you talking about? All MVP's can be found in their respective locations. I have killed Doppel in the 3rd floor map on Geffen dungeon numerous times while hunting. The 4th floor of that map has been closed for quite some time since only Dark Priest was in there, and before Dark priest it was a crap load of MVP's in there.

ok well sorry...cuz i have been HUNTIN doppel for weeks and never found him...and besides...doesn't matter if it's just a shit-load of MvPs on floor 4 it should still be open...

Maybe you misunderstood.... Ragnarok itself closed that map, not the server. Hardly any server with an up to date svn has it anymore.
I heard you played on iRO, that must be one hell of a lie because iRO is where most of this stuff originates from and you haven't a clue about any of it. Just say your a new player to RO and all will be forgiven =)...
O and one last thing...
Doppelganger spawns in the current MVP room as well..... /swt

1: IRO was the 1st server i played...which means from 4 years ago... and 4 years ago that map was open
2: i know doppelgangers are in the current mvp rooms...thing is 1: at my current character lvls none of my chars can kill him...not even my champ(note: new to playing champs...dunno how to pwn with them) 2: i HATE MvP rooms at time becase they have MvPs practiclly CRAMMED in there at times...meaning that while im trying to kill 1 MvP another one is killing me from behind...
3: if i say im new to RO completely do seriously expect people to just "forgive and forget"? not many people are like that

As it has been stated. All MVP monsters on Reign Online, with the exception of Dark Priest and the unreleased MVPs, spawn exactly where they should. Unreleased MVPs will spawn when they are added.

I began with iRO with my first server as well, however I began it in 2003 (during Beta launch) prior to the quest. It was added in the spring of 2005 and became a "retired" quest on official servers three years later, in 2006.
The quest itself for spawning the "Hellion Revenant" once, which is the Dark Priest, is still an active quest here on Reign Online.

This is entirely your problem and is irrelevant towards any changes of the server. Go kill more monsters you are able to kill, level up, and try later.

I have hardly found this to be the case, ESPECIALLY because of how the rooms are designed. Lower level MVP rooms (MVP Beta 1, etc) spawn only one of each MVP. When that MVP is killed, it respawns a certain amount of time later. In the higher MVP rooms (MVP Beta 9) there are the mobs you speak of. Are you mistakenly entering the wrong room and getting destroyed because of how powerful the room is? This is your mistake, not the fault of the MVP room if it is so.

You're far too defensive of your own position and you are taking everything that is said personally. In addition, you are taking a cynical view of others in assuming how they will react before you've even given them a chance. Treat others as you want to be treated.
That, and, you are not new to RO as you just said so yourself that you "Started playing on iRO four years ago".

1: you lost me on your 1st quote of my last post
2: yes it is my fault i am too weak but just going out and leveling up doesn't really help me learn how to play my character any better...i just go in a place and kill or be killed...that doesn't teach me the best build to have in order to lvl or even survive
3: i know my limits but even on my max stalker which i could easily pwn any and all MvPs in Beta 9 i still find it difficult to stay alive by yourself if you are attacking one MvP which will try and defend it's self as any monster would and survive an entourage of it's minions AND another MvP attacking you at the same time including THAT MvP's entourage of minions and the other MvP not being even remotly slowed down due to constant attacking
4: for the last sentence from your last quote of my last post, that you have to pin on bubba for telling me to simply say that i am new...and i do treat others the way i wish to be treated...but even when im just giving a simple opinion(i.e. "reviving" a dead post from long ago, someone feels already annoyed at me) someone comes up and starts talking to me like as if i am trying to be a know-it-all smart-allic

The "closed" area to which you refer to is not where Doppleganger spawns. That is the area where Hellion Revenant spawns when you complete the quest to spawn him. Doppleganger spawns on the map with Marionettes and Deviruchis (gef_dun02).

He was making an educated guess based on your behavior. You have asked for help a notable number of times and that can be perceived as a "new player" behavior unless you clarify otherwise with a simple "I've played RO before" statement.

This is where your perception is incorrect. Your post in the thread that you are referring to ( [Link] ) is one that is considered "Dead Thread Revival".
You posted in that thread just to point out something that did not need to be pointed out. The suggestion was not implemented six months ago and had no questions in the thread. There was nothing more that needed be said. You posted a question that was entirely unrelated to it; especially because that feature already exists. Auras can be turned on or off with the /aura command.
Last but not least, a productive comment NEVER begins with "Sorry to rain on your parade". That line there means that you were specifically posting in that thread just to be detrimental to it. You kicked a dead horse.

ok ... soo~ ... as i am seeing it as what my bro is tring to say (though this is just from what ive collected in reading all this)
he has been hunting the doppleganger (in apparently the wrong area at the wrong time) and not knowing of the closed off floor, however in the mvp room when he tries to kill the doppleganger he gets killed from behind (either from another doppleganger or another mvp) thus, due to his naivity and no knowlege of the spawn times, thought that most of the mvps where no longer spawning in their respective areas
am i on the right track ....
oh ... and ... yes he actually does have a cynical view on everyone (less he gets to know them)

No one is against anyone in this thread. This is a discussion aimed at having you understand both sides of the issue. This thread, specifically, involves pointing out that the MVPs are, in fact, still spawning as they should.
