Thanks everyonee and sorry for not posting uch ion the past week. Artemis is very slowly geting better it seems but right now its still touch and go.Her parents(adoped) of corse dont mind if anything i think they are even more protecctive and loveing to her. On atad side note i cant help but to laugha bit when i see how adorable she is seeing how she just slightly rembed how to crawl.

I just have a question. Has she forgotten only basic things (walking, talking, etc.) but still remembers everything else (her name, who people are, etc.), or has she forgotten EVERYTHING?

I would belive so she spent most her time wacthing me type thing up for the household along with others, and no i dont mind you asking. Basics skills yes almost everything else aswell sadly she knows her name or we think she does seeing how she reponds to it knows Krista(her adoped mother) is her mom. As to recover from shes pretty much like how a infant is so to speck. She is learning abits back how she can slightly now crawl also she trys to speck at times but mostly just points so i belive shes aware to things.

I do not mean to sound critical or skeptical, but what I've been reading is a bit.. troubling, and I am hoping you will be able to clear a few things up for me.

Brain trauma has been known to cause loss of function, yet regression is often a psychological phenomenon. Most individuals who lose, and later regain, function of their limbs, speech center, etc. are often in incidents where their head has received quite a large blow - enough to actually damage the brain and most of the body. Is this what happened, or did she regress psychologically due to the physical trauma?

Along similar lines, individuals with broken legs and severe brain injuries don't normally crawl on the ground ten days after the incident, nor would they do so immediately after waking from a coma, simply because it would likely do them more harm. The human body takes quite a long time to recover from trauma such as that, often requiring bed rest, painkillers, and constant medical attention.

Therapy, both physical and psychological, sometimes goes for months while an individual regains the ability to walk and speak - it is not a fast process by any means, and that's not taking into account the physical atrophy that must be reversed. If Arty is healing and recovering from that horrible accident so quickly, then she is recovering faster than I've ever heard of, and it is indeed a miracle.

However, if her doctors are allowing or encouraging movement and therapy so soon after the trauma that would be needed to sustain the injuries you mentioned, they may be endangering her life and welfare. If this is the case, I highly suggest her family searches for a second opinion and a better set of doctors, as well as a good lawyer.

I may be misunderstanding what I've read, and I hope I am. If you are able to correct me, please do - I am not her doctor, nor do I know her situation first-hand.

Whatever is happening or has happened, I wish Arty and her family only the best.

i didnt know...i read it all on what you said honestly to me i havent a clue at all on anything on this i was just told what i was told from the doctors as were her parents...if thats the case then i have to hold heartly thank you to no end! ill take your adive and find out (with help) as to crawling slightly as to she can ge on her knees and hands then pertty much falls down and of corse cries..i know broken legs and all shouldnt be happing. We were just following doctors orders..now i feel so stuiped again thank you i already called up afew doctos i do know fully to this pair i had no clue on.

so yes you can blame me for my own stuipdness again thank you so much

I never thought something this horrific would happen to sweet little Arty. I'm so glad that you were able to come on and share the terrifying news. It's great to know that children now-a-days share their log-in information with the people closest to them, just in case anything bad were to happen.
