Alright, so here's my take on it. I agree with Dan mostly because I believe 2 is possible. (Skill/Stat resetter uses a similar scripting, except it's based on the character's level.)
However, something else I propose is to keep @main at the same time, free. Basically, add a timer to stop spamming, like maybe...10-30 seconds? This way it becomes more difficult for people to engage in @main wars, where quick responses are usually key, but people can still talk in general for free.
I mean...I dunno I may not USE @main a lot, but I still like it, and I don't like the thought of it being removed completely. I DO believe something should be done about spamming/flaming on it, however, so I tried to....compromise, in a sense.

My choice is no
You want main off because you think it's a drama-maker channel. I think it's more like a way to speak to everyone or sell something even if your not beside that person.
Also, I think color message would be alot more annoying and used for flame people THAN main is used. I think color message should only be for Chat Rooms or Merchants.

Bumping this up... Why? Ragers be raging. All I see people QQ on @main so now it is time for it to die.
Luzz may say its for players to talk to one another but in reality its for QQ people to create drama. If you need to talk to another player use the @mail and PM system, or join the same guild, OR just sit in the same town. You don't need @main to "talk" to one another.
Lets burn the bitch to the ground, so it may never come back

that reminds me...i have 5 pages worth of mail in my @mail box. I need to delete some of those lol
and I agree but maybe we should make the broadcaster 1 color..so people wont have to deal with all the colored text on their screens.
As Glenfiddich suggested, make the price based on how rich you are...
or your base level...

The only part of @main that is good is when people are doing B> and S> on it. Plus I like to know who is talking shit on @main so I can KOS them in PVP instead of responding. That is why I don't have it off.
What I could do is just ss all the people who talk smack/QQ on @main especially during/after WOE, as well as those who go into PVP. Then I'll post them all in this thread.

or, we can get some GMs who *gasp* aren't for prestige! since it seems NONE of you can be happy with something, It's apparent you all need a babysitter. why punish a select few when everyone else gets the same treatment? how about a one week serverwide mute just to show you? no one talks. nothing. watch people leave due to the lack of communication.
this is all i'm seeing. people asserting themselves over others because they have nothing else to do but sit on a game and jerk off about how much they got whatever gears for or how much "superiority" they have over others who actually have lives outside this game.
