tested the 2 isilla cards. they rarely trigger and i never got two instances to trigger at once, even with 5 equipped at the same time.
the orleans server and glove set works well though. _________________

I just had a chat with GM Skye, basically I equipped my Beelzebub card... And i still required 150 dex to get instant cast. =/
I unequipped 1 dex from my stuff and i lose instant cast.
Its like as if the card doesn't work which is weird. Ohhh woes mee. |

You can get 100% Cast Time Reduction (as stated in this topic), or 150 total Dex.
One. Or the other. Can't combine them. If you had 99% Cast Time Reduction and 149 total Dex, you'd STILL have some cast time (though VERY small amount of it).
Also, the last post in this topic was a year and a half ago. This really should have been a new topic in the Public Helpdesk...Oh well. _________________ SUPRISE BUTTSEX. PREPARE!

I actually use peco wings, 4 clock tower managers, and a dark illusion with he 2 beezles so that i can wear sleipnirs.
This way to me is better, dark lord makes it hard to fight anything that can attack you. and make you meteor storm which is probly not what you wanna do due to delay, and though it gives health despite sleipnirs to me its better that way, and i use clock tower managers more because loosing that 10 percent health sucks. and if i had one more head gear slot ide use 6 instead o 4 and a dark illusion. Besides clock towers do uh i int, on a magic class that could help. This way i found is most effective for me.
review
Clocktower manager card x4
Dark illusion x1
pecopeco wings(or other 10 percent reducing headgear) x1
Beezelbub Card x2
takes up accessories and all headgear slots, along with adding to you 4 int and subtracting 10 percent hp and sp, but with sleips balancing out in a increase of 10 percent hp and sp with no dark lord side effect. _________________ Agnilam-BoC Stalker

Very similar to what i put in the updated section. Assuming you are using a shield, consider combining orleans glove + server. You could then drop the illusion that eats at your HP and get a head slot in the process. For most classes, this amounts to 10%HP and head slot vs. valk shield resistances.
I went with the double illusion in my update assuming the need for head slot cards, such as Marduk, Geminis, resistances, etc or in the case of my alt accounts, the desire for space for LKH.
I agree that the MS aftercast makes DL not worth it.

The game will determine your cast time from dex. The % cast reductions are reducing that determined amount.
So for example, if your dex drops a cast time from 5 seconds down to 0.1 seconds, use the 0.1 seconds as your 100% value that your cards/gears are affecting. IF you have a 95% reduction on 0.1 seconds, you will still have a cast time (all be it at 0.005 seconds) _________________

Orleans Glove w/ 2 Berzebub - 60%
Orleans Server w/ *insert card* - 10%
Rune Ring - 10%
4 Clock Tower Managers - 20%
1 Dex
that's my set up, I found it the most effective and always works for me |

Wouldnt be bad to use the sprint set either. But i tested that based off of the theory of luzz, it is correct, 100 percent is impossible UNLESS YOU HAVE 100 percent. I had 60 percent reduction and then i tried 90 and i still needed 150 dex total. Why i believe that it works like this.
Reads all reducers of cast time, then casts. If its 90 percent reduction its 90 percent of your current speed. If its 100 percent it reads instant.
Thus concluding 99 percent and below you still need 150 total to instant cast, and 100 percent is the only way around that rule. _________________ Agnilam-BoC Stalker

This is exactly what I said. Quote: | One. Or the other. Can't combine them. If you had 99% Cast Time Reduction and 149 total Dex, you'd STILL have some cast time (though VERY small amount of it). |
It works this way because of the math. Let's say you use a....10-second cast time skill, and you have 99% Cast Time Reduction and 149 Total Dex. Calculations should be as follows:
(Cast time: -1/150 (150 DEX = instant cast)) - iRO Wiki
Constants:
-149/150 (Approx 99.3% cast time)
-99%
10 seconds
10-(149/150)=10-99.3%=10-9.93=.07
.07-99%=.07-.0693=.0007
You would have .0007 seconds of cast time to cast that 10 second skill. THIS is why you cannot combine them: they do not stack, they are calculated seperately. (Note: I could be slightly wrong, perhaps the Cast Time Reduction is calculated before the Dex reduction, but that's besides the point.) _________________ SUPRISE BUTTSEX. PREPARE!
