Truthfully? I don't mind that Bloody Branches have every MVP in them. It's a fun aspect and risk.
And before anyone proclaims "Skye never cracks branches! >8(", allow me to be elitist in stating that i've probably cracked more Bloody Branches on my legitimate player account than 95% of the players on this server. My opinion is valid. |
Skye can you do me a favor and check the polls? Or have Luzz do so.

Mati ._. such a troll... And that's Jews who are rich... Not Asians Pfft.
I just thought of something.. Everyone should give a suggestion / poll what mvp's they like the most o.o and set a number so like... If it only got 3 then cut it ? Or something in that manor... That's so everyone now shows which they do and don't like?... Bad idea / good idea ? ._. _________________

I think someone said something about some sort of "Mega Bloody Branch"
that has a smaller field of MvP's to choose from. Primarily the ones with good cards.
I like that idea. _________________ When you do things right, people won't be sure that you've done anything at all. |

That does sound good. Perhaps 100 "Golden Branches", at a higher price (i.e. 30$) And all that will come out of that bundle, are the "good" MVPs. _________________ "The World will know that free men stood against a tyrant. At first, I had voted no; but I now can see the significance of an "Epic Bloody Tree Trunk" bundle of proportions never before imagined.
What could be used to determine JUST EXACLY what bosses are included in this Epic Bundle?
My first thought gravitates to spawn-timers. As Paragon said, for everything not related to our gigantic base level and stat differences, we trust in the decisions made by the official server for balance. What this means to me is that more important bosses are set up to spawn far less often than less important ones in order to balance the population of the items they drop. (Perhaps exp too, but that isn't important here).
In light of the above, Epic Bloody Bundle of Joy and Joyness would simply spawn a set of chosen bosses which normally spawn less often than the rest. Some bosses experience a pretty wide spawn-time differential, and as such, might require an Average Spawn Time to be used to determine whether they are included.
Even a minimum spawn time of roughly 3 or 4 hours will knock out (as far as I can tell) all of the MvP room bosses.
------------------
Price balance becomes a pretty serious issue, however, when introducing a new item that may cause another to become obsolete.
In other words, the price of the Epic Bundle would most likely need to be quite expensive, as to keep the regular Bloody Bundle from becoming unnecessary or worthless (Even if you already think it is xD). Even twice as much money (20 GC for 100 Epic Branches) is rather cheap, as I can imagine that most folks would gladly sacrifice two summons for a chance to summon a single better monster.
The above could actually be calculated more accurately if based on the number of monsters chosen to be included in the new Branch pack as compared to the total from the original Bloody Branch. Then of course, a service charge should be added on top of it, since you are, after all, "Getting what you want", no?
Lastly, I feel Berzeboob is a fine MvP and deserves his spot in the Bloody Branch. His card may be obtainable via quest, and perhaps getting Variant shoes or Book of the Dead is not your PRIMARY concern when using a Bloody Branch, but I personally consider it a slight bonus to walk away with these items after a session of Bloody Branch smashing (Same with the Valkyrie's Manteau and related gear).
I mean seriously, he drops a Chonchon doll too. HOW CUTE! :3 _________________

I feel that only removing beelzebub would be sufficient, is an annoying MVP and people will infact leave it and go somewhere else. Seen it done on other servers as I said in my earlier post. Removing him alone would be effective imo, at least ifrit has a card and doesn't completely recov his health at 50%. It's ridiculous, beelzebub is hardly worth killing. If you do happen to need something from him, he's in tower and cursed 3. I don't see a need for several of these damn bugs all over reign, is my opinion and at some point specially on double drop days it will likely happen unless people are courteous enough to kill them on their own. Somehow I dun see everyone being that way.
It's also cardless, but then so is gopinich but at least that 3 headed dragon is a split second kill if even that. Not annoying, My opinion is clear. Just remove Beelzebub to remove future annoyances. _________________

I know this is old..but I just had to comment:

Agree'd everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I am not denying anyone that, but if why should that opinion matter if it will not effect that person in any way shape or form?
Its also what we call "Having a standing" in the legal system.
Like when Alabama tried to sue BP even though Alabama is not effected by the ocean disaster, save maybe a few hotels losing traveling tourists.
The judge ruled they did not have standing, therefore they could not sue BP.
This same "Standing" law is being used against people who want gays to not be able to marry. They dont have anything to gain or lose from it, so why should it matter to them? This is just how the legal system works and I am taking a example from there.
I might not be online a whole lot because everyone has lives IRL, but I still play the game enough to where something like this would effect me. |
Firstly, unactive is not a word. You mean inactive.
Next, it is clear that sourlime does, in fact, have a standing (yes, in law terms) due to the fact that he/she was and still is part of this community. He/She has enough connection to this particular case that his/her input should be heard as he/she understands how this community is run. In addition, his/her opinion on the situation is one that is very well thought out, unlike your post here.
In fact, we could consider sourlime a "learned intermediary" since though he/she has no direct causation or effect on this situation, he/she knows quite enough to present her own opinion.
If you are a law major, then you will understand this: Ignorantia juris non excusat. That is in reference to you and your (improper) usage and case citations. You obviously don't understand the "proximate cause" concept.
GRANDPA DREADNAUGHT wrote: | I am not attacking you or your opinion, but I do not see why "your opinion" should be counted as per the poll above, when the final decision of this poll will not effect you in any way shape or form, because you yourself stated you no longer play this game.
You can have your opinions and share them all you desire and wish, I never said you could not, you can post all you wish, but if you do not play the game anymore (Like you said you dont) then your polling option should not be counted.
Why? It will not matter which way this poll goes, it wont effect you in any way shape or form. If a vote on something does not effect you, in any way shape or form, then why should your opinion be voiced about it and change what direction it might go in?
THIS IS ALL ABOUT STANDINGS!
Do you have a standing in this poll?> Do you play this game? Y/N?
Answer the above questions please, that is all I ask.
And for that matter let me tell you the verdict.
If you DO play this game, you have a legal opinion on the poll, and you lied about not playing the game.
If you do NOT play the game, then you should not have voted on this poll or had anything to do with it. (Opinions can be voiced, through text, but since you voted you forced a un-wanted//illegal opinion on others.) |
Please, don't vote for a president then. You obviously shouldn't go to the poll booth because you do not partake in the Congressional Hearings or legislation that the judicial and executive branches of our government approve of and put forth. Therefore, according to your fallible logic, all of your votes for anything that you no longer/have never participated in should be discounted. Meaning your vote or presidency, since the presidency itself does not affect you so much as the policies.
Also, why are you talking to someone "who no longer matters?" Why are you requesting this person to answer your ridiculously biased questions? You obviously have a past and you are blatantly attacking him/her as a person or player.
Besides, I don't see how his/her inactivity in-game as a player correlates to his/her experience as a former player. Cum hoc ergo propter hoc.
Also, for the next several pages, the only thing you can attack him/her about is her inactivity and why he/she shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion just because of it. So, yeah, you are attacking him/her. Stop trying to give is a disclaimer that is obviously false by saying you're not attacking him/her. This argument from repetition and appeal to ridicule is openly shows your inability to come up with a justifiable means of nullifying his/her vote and that the only thing you can do is attack this singular point that has little to no reciprocity to the matter at hand.
Therefore, I will no longer comment on your words and actions because they are that of an unlearned sow.
P.S. This is obviously a throwaway account, just in case you want to guess who I am. Also, if you don't understand what I am saying with some of the law terms or don't know the definitions of some of the words I use, go look it up. I'm not teaching a child like you.
P.P.S. You know nothing of legal issues, so stop calling his/her opinion illegal. Opinions are not illegal unless they are slander, and even then, slander cannot be opinionated. Therefore, in all cases, you are wrong. You should stop posting because what you ARE doing is libel. Thanks.
P.P.P.S. Opinions cannot be forced upon others. I guess you shouldn't vote for president then because in my opinion, your vote is illegal since your vote has an effect on me, though it is unwanted. Right? Wrong. What you SHOULD do though: Shut up and think about what you want to say before you say it. You'll realize how dumb you sound. |

Awwwwww someones feelings are upset :3
And just a hint, if you think I ever studied one book of law, you are sadly mistaken, throwing around big words and official sounding things can get a job done though, whooo boy.
And dont you worry, Im shocked in the fact you think I give a damn enough to want to know why you made a fake account, it doesnt matter what account you respond with, its the fact that you are responding, and have gone through great lengths to do so.
Try to have fun, stop being so butthurt, and learn to loosen up, life is too short to get your panties in a twist over some shit on the internet. Do you actually think my posts are going to mean shit outside of this small little forum? No they wont, but they will affect this game that I do play. This is just a place I come to to enjoy myself, in my own little way. _________________

Clearly, my feelings are oh-so-upset. I'm crying now. No. Sorry. I'm not. GAME OVER. Would you like to try again?
Don't talk about law if you don't understand law then. You're just trying to sound smart but it makes you sound like a moron when someone actually understands that everything you say makes little to no logical sense.
You sound like you're really enjoying yourself by flaming others. Too bad no one else thinks like an asshole. Oh, oops, sorry. Didn't mean to hurt your feelings again.
Ah, my apologies. I said I'd stop commenting on a sow's replies. I shall do that now. |

Normally, if you go out of your way to make that underhanded of a insult, then you would stick to it I would guess, I'll give you a second chance, just for my own amusement.
Just remember, I tried to keep some peace here XD
I never thought I would be the one saying that. _________________
