Fellow Reign players,
The time has come for Jo and I, along with some of our good friends, to retire from RO. With that being said, SOS will no longer be a WoE active guild. Our remaining members have the option to stay in SOS if they are not participating in WoE, or some have expressed interest in creating their own guilds and joining other existing guilds.
I realize that SOS has often been subject of @main flames, snide comments in Prontera, and general prejudice, whether warranted or not. Clearly we've done our share of instigating so some of it was deserving. As we make our exit, I would just leave everyone with some pearls of wisdom, if you will. In my opinion, there are a few ways to win in this game: time, money, and luck. If your luck is outstanding, then you don't need the other two. If you have money, well there's not much in the world that you can't buy with money. If you don't have luck nor money, then you can only spend your time. Those are the options. Sitting in Prontera flaming and complaining about how you lost in pvp because of someone's cards, equipment, or strength in numbers is not how you win at this game. This directly translates into real life situations. Things won't always go your way, but I can testify, in my career, I've never gotten promoted by complaining. You heard it from an old man.
Moving on. It's been a pleasure for us to play on this server. We had a lot of fun and met a lot of people. I only wish we had found this server earlier. I regret we can't spend more time with those whom we've only just met recently. Friendship doesn't need to end in game. Feel free to seek us out and stay in touch via email, msn, facebook, or any other method. Thanks to everyone who has helped us, shared the good times with us, and even put up with us. We wish everyone the best of luck in not only their time on Reign, but in their lives as well. I'm not ruling out the possibility of popping in occassionally and trolling the forums - watch out. Enjoy the final week of the H in Prontera while we finalize our exit. If anyone needs to reach us, feel free to send a pm.

First and foremost, as Tom implied, sitting in Prontera complaining, flaming on @main isn't going to make you better. It's really time dedication, money, and knowing how to play your enemy like a fiddle. Skill makes up a majority of the game, I mean if a person who just clicks on the target with regular attks, you aren't going to go anywhere fast. Switch it up use different skills, learn your enemies technics and movements. I can't tell you how many times I won a battle just by thinking clearly and knowing what my enemy was going to do. Cards help but not to a degree I see so many ppl complain about, it is really more than cards.
Last bit of wisdom before I leave. Some people are generally trust worthy, others will use you to fill their agenda. During my stay here, I noticed a hell of a lot of using and abusing by one guild. This still goes on to this day, with their convos being heard in Prontera. Their was a reason, SOS, DE, and IRA worked together so fluidly, we knew we weren't out for an agenda, we were out to play the game and become the best at it. Bringing down a guild wont make you the best, destroying guilds from the inside out isn't going to do it either. What I am trying to say is grow up, don't think about yourself, think about your guild, your friends. That is what truly makes a person great.
Retirement is going to be odd oldie, but I think we can handle it. I really had fun on this server especially within the last few weeks, but all good things must come to an end. I tried numerous ways to help players on the server with great ideas, some passed, some failed due to what I believe was just hatred of the guild. But this post and thread isn't about that, it's about us retiring, and our finally words of wisdom. I will be popping in from time to time, but thats just to sell off my cards I have listed on here. It's been a pleasure to have my last bit of RO experience on here and finally retire with everything I wanted to accomplish.
For old members you can contact me through facebook, MSN, & AIM, I will have my profile updated to include that information. Oldie and Jo, hopefully I can head out there this summer, I'll keep you updated. For the members that are staying good luck, have fun, and remember it's not kosing if you let them live for 10 seconds .
Thank you, and farewell;
Bubba
P.S.
The server is going to start looking a lot younger, since us old ppl are leaving . _________________

You'll be very much missed. I'm especially glad you took the time to reach out in-game and here on the forums with your final words, as well. Your friends will be sad to see you go, your enemies will be laughing in their seats (but new competition will inevitably arise to thwart your enemies in your stead, no doubt).
=) SOS, from beginning to end, has taken a place within Reign Online's history books.

I know we've had our differences and all, but I'd like to say that I AM going to miss some of you. Tom was always a pleasure, Bubba is funny in an odd way, I TOTALLY miss marine and am upset I haven't seen her the past month or two, Chief was nice when he wasn't killing me for no reason, and I wish I'd have a lot more "debates" where I'm pulling things out of my mind (and my ass) as I think of them with Jay and Bubba.
I'd just like to know why now? Why leave now, just shortly after your 1st full year here? If I were to guess, it would be the amount of complaints is just too staggering, but still, that never bothered you guys before, so I don't know.
It's been a pleasure and a misery to meet most of you at the same time. But I hope that this doesn't have to be the last time to meet. I'll be looking forward to your random visits. Stay safe, and remember, always stay in school! Hugs not drugs! =D _________________ SUPRISE BUTTSEX. PREPARE!

well coming from someone who has fought against sos and even set in pvp and talked to them, there are 2 sides to every story. most people do hate unconditionally and thats stupid. Thus why i decided to just talk to the "big bad" tom and jo one day. Only to find out that their human too *gasp* lol.
and you guys are right, cards can get you so far, you just need to learn the game, learn what works best for you. I had to adapt and evolve my playing to. and Fighting most of sos helped me do that. I'm actually surprised you guys are retiring. it will be interesting to see what happens now. I can only imagine........
anyways~ tom, jo. and whomever leaves, i wish you only the best in your future endeavors. and even though you retired, you will still have that little urge to come back =P so dont be strangers. _________________ cadian!~ |

All I can say is, I'm sad because not all of SOS was bad at all.
The only thing I'm mad at is that I can't find a solution to get past errors so I could have said bye to you who are leaving _________________ I am Keita. :O
