I, personally, am against this for a large number of reasons.
But I will leave the decision up to luzz.

I'm against it because of numerous reasons, aswell.
For instance, you can change its name and make it talk.
You can change its name and make it look like someone else said something.
(SAME WITH PETS)
You should have to stick with it's name, because that was your decision.
You don't rename a child after 13.

There is no easy way to rename a homunculus (similar to @petrename).
(If I am mistaken, please correct me).
