I'm raising a poring and i was wondering, will i gain more inimacy if i feed it at hungry or nuetral?

I am unsure of porings SPECIFICALLY, so I'll be going by my Christmas Goblin.
Usually, if you let it drop under neutral, it loses intimacy. So just feed it AT neutral.

You have to lose before you can gain.
If you let it get to hungry, it will lose intimacy. If you feed in while it's hungry(Not neutral) then it will gain more than it lost, as well as more than if it was neutral.
I used to tame and loyal porings on the retail server(loki) and this is how I made them loyal.
Took about 6 hours for each poring.
