Hello everyone!
This is a public announcement to inform everyone to NOT upgrade to Windows 7 when it is released at the end of October.
Reign Online is currently NOT compatible with Windows 7. If you are going to run Windows 7 you will NOT be able to run Reign Online.
We are working to recreate the client and patcher so it is fully Windows 7 compatible. I will update this thread when this is complete.
You have been fore-warned.
(For the curious: you MAY be able to get Reign Online to run on Window 7 running in 32-bit mode with much fidgeting. Too complicated, and too inconsistent. I do not recommend even trying it. Windows 7 in 64-bit mode will cause nothing to work at this time)

Just an update for everyone.
Reign Online's client and patcher will be fully Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit compatible before the Official release date of October 22th. We have made much progress in the development of new installers and server updates that will enable Reign Online to be compatible with as many operating systems as possible.

The new Reign Online installer will be available November 2nd.
Remember that the current installer is not compatible with Windows 7. If you are planning on upgrading to Windows 7, note that you will not be able to run Reign Online until the release of the new installer.

nov 2nd has come n gone... still no patch for win7  . Now i have to dwngrd back to winxp.... sigh..... much work to be done............. |

Tonight 10pm Eastern Standard Time a new installer should be out that includes a windows 7 operating patch. Thats when you should be able to go online again if you are using 7 on your pc.

Windows 7 compatible game client has been released. Please note that Windows 7 has a revamped implementation of User Access Control (UAC). UAC still causes some issues, namely:
- You may be prompted for your password each time the client runs.
- You may be prompted for the administrator's account name and password
- You may not be able to install into Program Files as a normal user account
If you are running Windows 7, we suggest the following:
1. If you feel comfortable with your computer savvy-ness, turn of UAC.
(quick instructions on how to do this is outlined here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/)
2. Install outside of your Program Folders directory (the installer does this by default)
3. If you can, run the game client using your administrator account.
Currently, Windows 7 does not offer any method to fine tune UAC settings.

You are probably trying to run the old client. If you haven't already, please download and install Version 2.0 of the game client from the download (http://www.reignonline.net/download.php) page.
If you have already downloaded and installed the new client, make sure you are trying to run the new client and not the old one.

Dual clienting works, however, UAC's darkening of the screen may freeze the previous client. If you wish to dual client, please lower or disable your UAC setting.

Hi Luzz. I downloaded the new client and installed it but when i get on, after the loading pics, it gives me a message about the game. Im not sure what it said though cause it was in another language  . Please help!
P.S. I dont use Windows 7.
Edit: The error has japanese in it but it has some words i dont know.
It has to do with a sprite and its actually a couple seconds after i start the
game. it says something like :
Cannot Find File : sprite￥タホー｜チキ￥クモクヨナヨナ(dot)ウイ￥_(random number)_act.
Something very similar to that.
